A short introduction.

Arnoud Smit (lagoon@XS4ALL.NL)
Sun, 27 Oct 1996 12:11:42 +0100

This new subscriber from the scouts-l list wants to introduce himself.

My name is Arnoud Smit, 27 y/o and working with cubs (we call them Welpen
in Holland) at the Martin Luther King group in Hoorn. My official training
at the national scouting centre will start soon and I'm already looking
forward to that training. At this moment we have 24 cubs in our pack,
current theme is 'the weather', so if anyone has some idea's of how to work
on this theme, please let me know. Hints and tips are welcome.

I'm new to scouting, but I've been working with children a long time.
Started when I was 14 or 15 myself on our local rowing-club. Since then
I've been asked to become an official leader on the national rowing-camps,
and after a long break during my university time and a busy job a friend
asked me if I would like to get involved into scouting. The result is
written above.

I'm employed by the Royal Dutch Meteorological Office and I'm working at
the International Airport of Amsterdam. Who knows, perhaps I'll end up at
the air-scouts sometime.

Enough about me for now. If you want to know more about me, just send me an
Email message; either to lagoon@xs4all.nl (my adress at home) or
smit@knmi.nl (my adress at work) or to both of them.

Happy scouting..

Arnoud Smit lagoon@xs4all.nl or smit@knmi.nl
