Although I haven't heard of children being approached specifically
because their names were on a web page, I do know of several cases in
Massachusetts where pedophiles have contacted children through their use of
chat groups on the internet. The threat of getting bitten by a poisonous
snake is extremely low here in NH, but we still teach the boys how to
perform first aid for snakebites. Just because you haven't heard of
children being preyed upon does not mean that it can't or won't happen. As
I've said in a previous post, we've decided to protect the children by _not_
putting their names, even their first names, onto our web page. I'd
strongly encourage you to reconsider your policy.

Yours in Scouting,

Alan
