I use the velcro to hold the pocket flap down instead of trying to button it
under or around the flap. Got the idea from one of the firemen in town.
And when I wore several hats I velcroed patches on.
Humorous story: Some years ago we had a Scout who was active in several
Council activities. One evening he came to the meeting with just a piece of
velcro where the patrol patch is supposed to go. When I made a comment,
without missing a beat he moved right next to another Scout (sleeves
touching) and said "Velcro Patrol--we stick together."
