Actually folks it was First Aid Merit Badge and it was required for First
Class up until (I guess) 1990. Since the changes, we have had to closely
look at Eagle Applications. There is a place on them for the candidate
to place the date of his Board of Review for First Class. For anyone who
earned First Class before the changeover date, they MUST have earned First
Aid before that BofR date.

It is quite rare now that we have to worry about that requirement. My son
did 2 years ago. But most of the Scouts we see now earned First Class after
the cutover date.
