Re: Eagle Requireds (Merit Badges)

When visiting a neighboring District for a WB Beading last month, one of their
district people presented a program on getting the Eagle application approved,
and changes to the procedure.
The gentleman stated flatly that as of a specific date (sometime last year??)
_all_ Eagle candidates _must_ have earned the [swimming or first aid, can't
remember which] merit badge _prior_ to attaining first class. The impression
I got from that was that if this was not done in that order, kiss the Eagle
good bye, because the boy was ineligible.
I intended to check that out, but forgot until I saw this. I'm sure someone
here on the list knows more about this. It is, however, a concern of mine.
Unfortunately, I don't know anything more about it.
