The insurance is expensive so we keep our bus on the road
in the Spring, Summer and FAll only (cuts insurance
in half and saves on snow tires.)
We have two ASMs who have bus licenses and I am studying for mine
(part of my Woodbadge ticket.)
Our maintenance costs are not bad. We have a mechanic on the Troop
committee who does the routine work.
I'm sorry that I don't have the exact figures at hand,
but our bus committee deals with that.
We charge $5.00 per head per trip for gas, oil & maintenance.
It's great having a bus; all Scouts are together and
there is plenty of room for equipment.
