Re: tiger fundraising

Hi group,

Candy brought up a very interesting question concerning tigers
participating in pack fund raisers. I have not read any good replies, not
to say that those that have replied were not good, just here me out.

Under the old rules Tiger were not to participate in Pack fund raisers.
Apparently from the responses I have read some Packs did. Under the old
rules Tigers were not a member of the Pack, but were affiliated (I hope the
spell checker gets this one) with a Pack. I believe, according to the
tigers leader's manual that Tigers were not to participate in Pack fund
raiser, because they were to young, nor pay dues. The Tiger group was to
pay there own way. Yes I agree, the Tigers were a liability to the Pack,
just to get future members. That is my understanding of the Old Tiger
Group. Please, their is no need to respond if you agree or disagree. With
the new tiger program it is all a mute point.

Now comes the new program. The Tigers are now a den in the Pack. Under
the new rules, I guess Tigers can be charged dues, which I have to agree
with because the Pack is paying for the advancement. I also can guess that
Tigers can participate in Pack fund raisers. I questions my district
commissioner to confirm this. She agreed that the new rules could be
interpreted this way. When I questioned her about if they were to young
before, why are they not to young now. The answer I received (which I did
not like) was that parents do most of the selling at that age.

So, does anybody have anything in any of the literatures that say that
Tigers do or do not participate in Pack fund raisers? What about dues?
All the materials I have seen simply skip over this part.
