Hi Cliff,
My troop had a used bus. We were very lucky to have 2 mechanics also
in the troop. Between them they added air conditioning, a small closet,
and a little "porch/deck" onto the back for hauling stuff. The ownership
of the bus was put in the Committee chairman's name because of cost for
insurance. That bus made it to Philmont and back. There were ALWAYS AT
LEAST 2 other vehicles going along. The seats were repadded with foam,
and a better radio was put in. My Eagle Scout son was in there for the
Philmont trip.
