Roundtable Funds

I read the discussion of "Who pays for handouts at roundtable"?

Here is what we do in "The Greater Lowell Council" in Lowell,
Massachusetts.

We have a sheet on a table setup by the door where all leaders
sign in. Next to the sheet is a coffee can next to that has a
label on it reading "Roundtable, 50/50 Split."

After we sign in, we take a dollar bill from our pocket, write
our last name on it and deposit it in the coffee can.

Near the end of the meeting a random member of the audience
draws one dollar out of the can, reads the name written
on the bill and announces it. The drawn winner gets 50 percent
of the pot of money and the roundtable gets the other half.
In most cases the winner donates the money they won, but it
is their option to keep their winnings without any pressure.

This money helps not only pay for our handouts, but for other
materials used in our roundtable meetings.
