Troop Dues

Hi all,
Our troop committee is talking about raising our troop dues. Right now
the boys pay $1.00 a week. I want to keep it at that. The committee
wants to raise the dues to $2.00 a week. They say it is to cover the
cost of merit badges. Right now we use the $1.00 for registration.
I think that a dollar a week is enough to cover it.
What I would like to know from you is:
1) What do other troops charge for weekly dues?
2) What do you use the dues for?
