Does your Council offer High Adventure awards for Scouts & Cub
Adventure awards for Cubs? The program is popular in Southern
California. Many of the awards could easily apply to other parts of
the country; some are distinctly regional.
On the Cub side, one neat program is the Jungle Book Award. A Cub
earns a center "Mowgli" patch by learning about "The Jungle Book,"
then adds 6 segments that surround the original patch. Each segment
has different requirements, such as attending a summertime event,
completing outdoor electives or Activity pins, etc.
I assume these awards could be "shared" nationally and earned in
other Councils offering High Adventure Training. True?
