Help needed teaching cooking at Pow Wow

Marc W. Solomon (m_solomon@ALLI.COM)

HELP!!!! I was asked a few months ago to teach cooking at this year's
district Pow Wow. I presumed (silly me) that I was to be teaching outdoor
cooking. While I was not completely wrong, I didn't understand all that I
was being asked to do. It turns out that I am teaching TWO sessions; one on
outdoor cooking aimed toward Webelos Leaders and one on INDOOR cooking aimed
more towards Wolf and Bear (actually I think only Bear) Den Leaders.

Outdoor cooking for Webelos (and therefore their Leaders) is pretty much the
same as teaching outdoor cooking for New Scouts. I have done many times and
don't have any problem with that curriculum.

As for INDOOR cooking for younger boys, I have no idea what to do. Can
anyone give me the goals in teaching cooking to Cub Scouts (i.e.,
requirements from the handbooks, general goals of Cub Scouting) and any
ideas about what food or types of food to have them prepare.
