Re: Uniforms

This is not Barry-bashing. I've been thinking about this for quite a time
and just have to say this. If the troop is truly boy-run, then isn't the
"right thing" whatever they choose. Of course I don't mean that if they
choose to sacrifice new Scouts to Baal that is okay, but there is no moral
imperative to uniform wearing, so how can we say there is a "right thing."
And if giving good information and guidance to them always produced what
the adults wanted, then aren't the adults really running things?

I'm not trying to belittle anyone's ideas or practice. This has been a
thought that has been nagging me for several weeks. Thanks.

Subject: Uniforms

In a time of Boy Run Troops, Scouts should decide how they wear their
uniforms. As leaders, our responsibility is guidance. I've witnessed
most Scouts will do the right thing when given good information and
guidance,
