Think water, Rex. Not having been in Ohio for 12 years some things may
have changed. Also think travel.
Kelly's Island State Park
Marble head State Park (on Lake Erie)
Charter a fishing boat - my in-laws and dad had a great walleye
epedition.Captain Easy out of Lorain is who they used. Sorry, no number.
Mochican State Park (Forest) Canoeing on flat water
Youghegheny River Rafting - Pennsylvania - it's where I learned III's and
an occational IV
Mountains in Pennsylvania; Addirondacks in New York; Skyline Drive
beginning in West Virginia (great trails here, campgrounds and cottages)
Green River Rafting - I believe in WV
Adena (history) near Chillicothe; Mound City, Serpent Mounds
Pike Lake State Park and Forest (S. Ohio)
I don't ever remember seeing any National Forest as we have out west. In
Ohio, my recollection is all state forest and I don't recall any primative
camping.
You might cross the border into Canada for more primative accomodations as
High Adventure. The French River area was real popular when Iwas a kid.
Rondeau Provincial Park is across Lake Erie. The Ferry Boat ride across
Lake Erie was fun as a kid. Bike riding inthe Middle Bass Islands.
Lisa, help us out.
