Subject: A _Religious_ Observant Wood Badge Course
When: August 17-27, 1998
Where: Camp Siwanoy, Wingdale, NY
Who: Sponsored by the Northeast Region

This course is designed to accommodate the religious needs of the
Traditional
Jewish, LDS, Christian and Islamic faiths. In additon, it will attempt
to
accommodate anyone else who feels a need for formal training and
cannot, for
whatever reason, fit their schedule or religous obligatons around the
demands
of a more traditonal Wood Badge Course.

Time for organized religious observances for the three communities
will be made
available. Specifically:

Islamic: 5 times daily and noon to 3:00 PM on Friday.
Jewish: 3 times daily and 9:00 to 11:00 AM on Saturday.
Christian: Daily masses and 9:00 to 11:00 AM on Sunday.

No formal training sessions will take place from Friday afternoon
until
after nightfall on Saturday to accommodate participants and staff of
the
Jewish faith.

Dietary needs of both the Islamic and Jewish faiths wil be met and, in
addition,
vegetarian meals will be provided upon request.
