Hi My name is Ceil Greene and I am the Chairman of Catholic Committee on
Scouting for Tidewater Council in Virginia Beach, Va. Part of my duties is
to make sure the religious services are available to scouts at district and
council events also I have put out in our local Scouters News the if troops
and packs wish services when they are camping to call me in advance and I
will set them up - if possible.

In the spring our Council Catholic Chaplain went and said mass for a pack
that was having a family camp-out. That mass had a terrific impack on the
cubs. I feel it showed them that their religion was really part of scouts.

By inviting the clergy to camp-outs it makes them become real people in the
eyes of the scouts and the boys start opening up and sharing problems - peer
presures etc.

Another way to address religious services at camp.
