Re: What is a "Class A uniform"?

I have not said much on this forum, but I would like to throw out my
thoughts.

I am not enterly sure about this but I think that the letters simply make
it easy to remeber and are used as a simple clarification tool.
These may not be documented, but it is not just a term used by [old
military guru{s[ <g> I use it...I am Eagle scouts as of last year...I am
only 19...lots of the poeple , for simplicities sake use this
terminology.
Let me list (as I know) the uniforms and then maybe you atleast
understand what some of them are unofficiallly.

Class a

- Scout shorts/trousers with scout belt, scout shirt (kahki, dress shirt),
scout socks, and scout headgear..also bolo/neckerchief to be worn with shirt.
depending on the occasion or time of the year it could also include merit
badge sash, or OA sash, red wool jacket, or red nylon jacket.

Class b

- same as class a but with a scout activity shirt or scout tshirt on
instead of the kahki shirt. all the optional part except the merit badge
sash are still an option.

Class c

- Non scout uniform [civilian[ clothes. ussually used for hiking or
other camping stuff.

There are also many variations of these dependant on where you live...and
who you talk to but this is the basic system....no offence ment...just
trying to help clarify...thanks, josh.
