Re: Wood Badge Paraphernalia

No argument at all, Larry...Kevin Doyle found the same error and I'll copy
here what I wrote to him in reference to that same question. I found it as
soon as I turned the machine off yesterday morning (at about 3am).

That's what we're all SUPPOSED to do here...I'm glad you did check it as I
(and a couple others) did
I stated:

As I told Kevin, the dress uniform blazer is considered a field uniform for
key volunteers and professionals at the Council or National level, and
therefore the Wood Badge would be acceptable wear with that uniform.
However, this is a call I'm going to have to make and find out for sure,
which I'll do in the middle of the coming week and by the time I get to
wherever I'm going, get connected and get back here, I'll be able to
followup on this part of the posting.

This makes sense in the Cub Scouting side of things, whereby the ONLY
neckerchief which is permitted are the Cub Leader, WEBELOS Leader or
Wood Badge neckerchiefs. I'm sure that Cub Scouters cannot wear any other
neckerchief other than those and since those other two neckerchiefs have
distinctive slides to wear (the Cub Scout or WEBELOS neckerchief
slides are supposed to be worn with them), the Wood Badge Woggle would be
inappropriate to wear.

*sheepish grin* I don't know what one looks like in the back. Either one of

Thank you very much for finding the "oops" in the posting...and for the
information on the dress uniform. I'll get in touch with the BSA uniforming
folks in the middle of next week after things slow down for me here...and
I'll post it as a followup as soon as I arrive at my next duty station.

Thanks again, Kevin and Larry, for the information here. I'll check on the
"blazer uniform" thing but I'm really sure about the Cub Scouting
neckerchief thing.
