I have always been reluctant to wear a nametag. The "culture", so to speak,
in my former council seemed to frown on what was considered to be shows of
self-importance. Usually they were worn only by those in silver loops -
not too well liked by some to begin with - and members of the "invisible
empire". As a result I dubbed them bureaucrat buttons.
So I adhered to what I thought was the prevailing practice and seldom wore
mine.
Not to mention that if I was wearing both an OA flap and the 1993 National
Jamboree patch there would be very little room to place the patch high
enough on my shirt to wear a nametag! <g>
