The Cub Roundtable Staff patch has a new design and the Boy Scout Roundtable
Staff patch will be taking the similar design soon as well.
Cub and Boy Scout Roundtable and Varsity Huddle *staffs* are NO LONGER
"Commissioners". They are members of the Roundtable or Huddle Staff, but
they are not considered members of the District's Commissioner
Staff anymore. Only the Roundtable or Huddle Commissioner is a member
now. Don't get me started on why this stupid move was made....but the BSA
has been playing around with this for a couple of years and finally decided
*who* was going to wear the wreaths of service and who wasn't.
The new Cub Scout Roundtable Staff and the Boy Scout Roundtable Staff
patches feature the same features as the old ones, with the EXCEPTION of the
wreaths. They are gone. Funny, they also created them in the same
background color of the old Commissioner patches......The present Varsity
Huddle Staff patches still have the wreaths, but as soon as they unload all
of those patches, the new ones will have the orange in the center like the
blue in the center of the Cub Scout and green in the center of the Boy Scout
patches....it really looks silly but they are functional patches.

No, seriously. The position patch (no matter WHAT your position is)
belongs in "position three, left shoulder" according to the BSA's Insignia
Guide.
Position one, from top to bottom, is the CSP (Council Shoulder Patch) or
city and state strips (if you're still using them). Position two is the
unit number(s) and on top of them, the veteran bar if your unit is eligible
to wear one. Position three is your position emblem, and position three-a is
the
"TRAINED" strip which belongs immediately below the position emblem
and ONLY APPLIES TO THAT POSITION DIRECTLY ABOVE IT. (So get
trained, Evette!!! *grinning*). Position four is the Commissioners'
Arrowhead Honor (which my understanding, is NO LONGER AVAILABLE for
Roundtable STAFF members since the BSA removed the "Commissioner" status
from them last fall. Stupid move in *my* opinion.
They had their reasons, though, and it was valid.)
To be "exact", what I do is take a single unit number and apply duct tape
or scotch tape to the backside of it, in a loop so that it sticks to the shirt.
I then place it where it would go if I belonged to that unit, centered on
and directly below the CSP.
Next, I sew the position patch directly below the unit number so that the top
edge of the position patch touches the bottom edge of the unit number.
After sewing the position patch on, I then take the taped unit number off
and *volla*! Your position patch is correctly in place and is centered on
the CSP!!!
