I also would like to echo Roger's comments. A lot of thought and effort
went into developing the advancement policies, but setting time limits is
clearly in violation of national, and probably council policy. The original
intent probably was to encourage the boys not to take too long in earning
merit badges, but sometimes people forget that not everyone is in a hurray
to earn Eagle before they are age 14.
Each boy MUST be able to work at their own pace, even if that doesn't match
that of the adult leaders.
Please get with your Troop Committee and revise your advancement policy ASAP.
