ADHD Scouts and Scouting

Whitfield C. Smith (wcs30030@ATL.MINDSPRING.COM)

I have been asked by my Roundtable Commissioner to develop and
teach a 40 minute Program Feature at my October District Roundtable
on "An Introduction to ADHD Scouts and Scouting." Now I am no
teacher so I don't know how to develop lesson plans, but my son in
scouts is sixteen and is ADHD so I have some experience with the
subject matter. Having said all that ------
I call on the collective wisdom of the approximately 600 of you on
the List. "I'm using my available resources." H E L P !
Any suggestions as to what you would want to know if you were at the
Roundtable (and a few of you are going to be anyway) and how you
would want it presented would be greatly appreciated.
What are my other resources? Do you have any suggestions of
places on the net or ADHD/Scouting related material I can use. Are
you a teacher or a presenter willing to give me advice? I appreciate all help.
After I have developed and presented the program, if it is well
received, I will try to put something together an make it available to you to
use if you want to.
