I completely agree! Most important point is "Where do you draw the
line?"
Consistency is what is important. Very important. We do a troop
campout every month. If you start adding we have about 20 overnights
plus one week of summer camp. If you are providing an outdoor
program, there should be no reason a boy cannot easily complete the
Camping MB requirements within 18 months, even if he is not at every
single campout.
When our troop is out camping, we do so much more...and I really do
think this is all part of the camping experience.
Stay within the BSA and even out the playing field.
