flag favors

i was just curious as to how many packs use flag favors. the cubmaster that
we had when my son was a tiger, gave each den/lair a flag favor for their
den flag if they had it and a cheer at our pack meetings. it was stopped
for a while, but when i became cubmaster, i put it back in place.
last year was the first year that all dens had cheers and flags. woe was the
poor den leader who forgot their flag! (especially when it was knights of
the roundtable them and i had plastic swords).
anyway, at our blue and gold when i gave out "gold" key chains, our guests
from district thought this was a great idea. my unit commissioner is also
a cubmaster and he was going to "steal" this idea.
is this idea really that unusual? the kids love it (or they like me running
around like an idiot since i go in no order and pretend i don't see flags).
