i also agree with pat and marie. i have the books, and *i* read them and
use that info for the boys. my son and his best friend have almost a
whole belt full of loops. did they earn them...yep. cj and charles have
been together since tigers, i picked up some new boys in bear and webelos.
the heritage beltloop was fun to earn when we got some new boys in the den.
after my son stated that his great-grandma came from england, another boy
shared that his grandparents came from a foreign land too...wisconsin.
unfortunately, i'm not up to having them earn their geography beltloop yet.
the boys learned quickly that they don't get sumptin for nuthin with me
or my assistant, and we have discussed the reasons.
i am not a creative person, but one of my parents is. she had the webelos
book, the artist academic book and my instructions to make sure that while
they do their crafts for blue and gold, that they meet both the requirements
for the webelo artist activity pin and artist beltloop. she did great!
(and i had two months off!)
