In a message dated 96-07-08 14:38:13 EDT, you write:
Mike Walton was passing along info as to how to get disks for upcoming events
(Hi, Mike!):
<< You also might want to get a hold of America Online (tm) or WOW!(tm)
and get some of their free diskettes from them to distribute after the
presentation. AOL will send you a box of a REASONABLE amount
of their diskettes upon request to their phone number. >>
Couple of caviats here:
WOW! is a Windows95 only product.
If you want disks for America Online, you may fax a request in at
703-918-2207. Quantities up to 500 are available; you must specify platforms
(Windows, Mac or DOS), and only high density 3 1/2 disks are sent. You must
include a shipping
address and a phone number for a contact.
Low density disks or 5 1/4 formats for PCs would have to be ordered from the
AOL sales department at 800-827-6364.
Please mention that you would providing these a training session for Adult
Scouters; they still don't believe me that Scouts would benefit from being on
AOL ;)
Normally, I am encouraged to bite my tongue when someone here mentions "AOL
did this or that to me, my friend, or my harddrive". However, this is
something I can pass along if it will help.
No, I can't help you with your bill either.........YIS,
