Hey Kathi!
Sorry you were disappointed in Scouts-L. Remember that
the quality of the group's discussion depends upon ALL of
us discussing and talking about things which concern us
in our youth agency work.
I will be the first one to admit that this group has a "BSA"
slant to it, but in remembering back from a couple of months
ago, we have had several ongoing conversations either started
by or contributed by Girl Scouting leaders.
If you are NOT a BSA leader and want to ask or even contribute to our
discussions here, all you have to do is to post to the list at large.
There's a large number of us that have been Girl Scouters (yeah, guys, a
while back before the BSA
did, the Girl Scouts of the USA allowed males to serve as leaders and
encouraged local Councils to recruit males!) and in addition to the many
Girl Scouters here, can answer your questions as well.
Don't let the name of the group fool you, Kathi....this
group is for ANY youth-serving volunteer or professional, not just "Boy
Scouters" (even though we kinda, well, make up most of the seats around the
"virtual campfire"!)
Sorry you're leaving us....I really hope you come back and sit
around with us all!
