Rex,
It takes courage to face down a "grizzly" and your example no doubt
served to show the Scouts a bit of the meaning of "Brave" in the Scout
Law. Aside from learning that the other fellow was a poor example of a
leader, I'm sure that they learned they could meet similar challenges
without resorting to violence - a very valuable lesson indeed. True, it
would have been better not to have had such a bully as a leader,
sometimes what seems to be a bad situation can turn out to be a valuable
lesson.
