I'm sorry, but I have had a hard time with this one. Not the BB
part, but the economic part. If they can not pay to go but want to
go..... GIVE THE BOY A SCHOLORSHIP!!!! We have two in our district who
are going for free, and the number could have been a lot higher if
needed. Only the camp director knows who they are, so there is no
stigma. If the council can not afford to accomodate a few boys who NEED
to be there, then some soul searching is in order here...

AND, while I am on this soap box... I hope that every leader on
this list makes a special effort to identify those parents in your
group that are not as ative as they want to be due to finances. Very
rarely will their pride allow them to "speak up" about their situation.
Our pack makes it a point to help those scouts that need and want to be
there. Usually, this is done anonymously to recipient as well. "Gosh,
but your son is all paid to go on this outing..."
