Mike Bowman's points about the operation (and sometimes pauses) of the
listserver were very instructional. I would only add, that if you stop
receiving the list for a day or two and can't tell if it's a problem with
your mailer/server or the list, Send a note of inquirey to a friend on
the list instead of the entire list. This will keep the the list from
filling up (again) with "what's wrong?" Think about it. If the list is
down, you're not going to get a reply until it's back up , but by then
you're no longer wondering :-) If you don't have a friend on the list
to check with, now's as good a time as any to find one :-)
