The campaign hat is traditionally reserved for male Staffers, so I wouldn't
recommend it for participants. (Besides, I think they're around $65 by now!)
I'd choose the beret or the standard BSA baseball cap, whichever is easier
to find. On a weekend course I staffed, my Den got custom hats made between
weekends, once they got to know each other and got an idea of the course -
to do it sooner wouldn't be as much fun.
