It is almost ALWAYS the slide. Contact Eureka (Johnson Products,
Binghamton, NY) and they will provide a repair kit free of charge (there is
a lifetime guarantee) including slides and instructions (or so I've been
told, haven't done it yet). Someone, I'm sure, will provide the 800
number.
