Behavior Problem Dad - Update

Gary S Davis (GSDAVIS@TSDATL.REMNET.ROCKWELL.COM)
Thu, 27 Jun 1996 12:23:12 CST

I have attached a MS Word document that I sent to the pack's CM regarding the
dad that I was having a problem with. He spoke with me for awhile, and
notified the CC.

A month latter, at a fun w/son camping last weekend I spoke with the CC about
the issue. We both agreed that the dad/son would not be returning to my den.
Since he has not attended any summer time activities, it is unclear if he
will attempt to return to the pack at roundup with a different den.

We both agreed that I would be consulted if he tried to return to the pack,
and the pack would file the letter I sent with the council office.

I am torn if more should be done. Part of me wants the council to speak with
the man before roundup and make their feelings known, and let the dad know
his behavior is not accepted. Part of me is afraid that if this is done that
he may confront my boy some day when he gets the chance. The family lives up
the block from me, and their son attends the same school.

Any advice would greatly be appreciated.
