Dave,
The Guide to Safe Scouting in discussing the need for two-deep
leadership, states:
"Male and female leaders require separate sleeping facilities. Married
couples may share the same quarters if appropriate facilities are
available."
This suggests that there is no prohibition to a married couple being the
two adult leaders for a campout. The big question is - what is meant by
"appropriate facilities"? This is vague and allows for local
interpretation. To that end, you should consult with your Council's
professional staff and/or commissioners to see what local policies are in
effect, if any, to define what constitutes an "appropriate facility" for
staying together.
