Each of our fund raisers is set up a bit different.
Popcorn Sale - Spring
Most if not all the money goes to the boy.
Wreath Sale
The troop and the boy split it with the boy getting more.
Wreath Sales at church give more money to the troop in an
effort to encourage the boy to sell on his own and not
rely on automatic sales.
Pancake Breakfast - held on Palm Sunday
Pays for boys registration (main purpose)
I believe the rest go to the Troop.
Recycling - Once every 4 to 6 weeks for Next High Adventure

Boys doing it over the weekend split the profits among them,
which avoids fighting for certain time periods.
The percentages split between the troop and the boy changes each year and I
do not know the exact splits.

All the money the boy earns is placed in his "boy account". This money can be
used to help pay for scout outings (main cost) and if told ahead of time, can
be used on the trip itself (not usually done). Any money that is extra is
returned to the boy's account (even if they paid with cash). When a scout
graduates, he may take his money. If a boy leaves the troop, he can give
a brother his money or it is dispersed to the troop (or maybe among the
boys remaining). A scout can also use his account to pay for scout related
stuff such as a Back Pack.

For parent hours gets a bit tricky and is still under "discussion" it seems
in our troop. Parent hours are kept track of if the parent is going on a
High Adventure trip and only for fund raisers that are for the Trip or are
not Troop run, ie: Recycling above, and a cleanup on the Fair grounds which
is not run by the troop both qualify. The tricky part is what to do with
adults like me (only one in the troop at the moment) who does not have a
son in the troop, but then I usually do not participate in those fundraisers.
