An Apology and Request

I owe an apology to a Scouter. The problem is that I do not know to whom!
Last night about 9pm or so my time someone had called me. I was tired and
had spent the last few hours tryingt to get my main computer working again
after the latest crash which I am convinced is due to Windows 95. :( I
couldn't understand him and he sounded like no one I knew. I told him he
had the wrong number and when insisted not, I informed him he did and
prefunctorily hung up.
He called back at least twice, once of which he left an answer on my
answering machine. After listening to the message several times and trying
to understand his speech, I was able to tell he was from area code 310
(which seems to be around Los Angeles) and may have been asking or wanting
to relay information about patches.
First I ask that person accept my apology for my less than kind conduct.
Second, if he can either write me by e-mail or leave a message more
specifically what the problem was, I will get back to him as soon as I can.
I will be very difficult to reach over the next several days.
Sorry about this, but I suspect this person is either on this list or
patch-l, to which I will also send this message. Thanks.
YiS,
John Pannell
