hi my name is bob i am the cr of troop 67 in hubbard ohio.i always
take my flip phone on every camp out . we have never had a real
emergency but have had to call parents when a boy got sick. only one
time have i had a problem and that was cured by driving down the road
a couple of miles. and for range of a small phone i have called n.e.
ohio from tenn.with no problems. i think takeing a cell phone is a
great idea.will always take mine on camp outs better to have than not
have it as time goes buy the dead areas are going away with new
stations going up
