As you all know, I've lost all of my "answer me now" mail
over the weekend last, and I'm trying to get in touch with
someone that asked me to scan some rank patches for him.

I have three sets: the 1960s-era patches (less the Eagle Scout
Badge); the 1973/80s-era patches (again, less than the Eagle
Scout patch only because I left it at home and couldn't get back to the
Community College to scan it later!) and the present-day rank patches (with
the present Eagle Scout Badge). I will put them together on a web page
sometime in
the future, but I wanted to reach this gentleman because he's been really
patient in waiting for me to finally get them scanned for him.

Please post me privately and let me know where to send the
diskette to or where to send the files to. The combination comes to
somewhere around 750K.

I've also scanned the following items if anyone is interested. I'm glad to
share these with you all for usage on your pages:

* my Gold Hornaday medal
* the Eagle Scout (medal) Badge with Gold and Silver palms
* a separate card with Silver and Gold (I couldn't find my
Bronze Palm....does anyone have one to loan me please?)
* District Committee, District Chairman and District Executive
emblems
* The Lone Scout patch in all three varieties (70s, 80s and today's version)
* The Sea Badge (the actual award, not the square knot)
* various interpreters' strips including the "Southern Drawl"
and two versions of Japanese
* six of the eight devices for the various training awards and
the youth religious emblems (if someone has the *old* Exploring device (the
"Circle V", for those that understand that), the Sea Exploring device, and
the Varsity device, please
let me know!!)
* ....and an assortment of patches and other insignia.

Again, I will be using much of this on various web pages under the "Leaders'
Online" banner later, but I wanted to "share the wealth" especially since
I've been so late in getting
this done in the first offstart. Please send me PRIVATELY
and let me know what you need and I'll do my best to see if I
can scan it for you or send it your way. The biggest thing that I have to
depend on now is the fact that since I don't have a car right now (we do;
it's sitting in front of our place, but it
needs about $1K worth of repair work), and since I've been working these
really strange hours, I have to take a bus on one of my two off-days, get
into the lab, scan the items, and take
another bus back around town to the home again. It's not that
big of a deal, but I wanted to post that here in case you may think that I'm
running a "scan-for-you" service or something!
*heheheeheee* (It's the ONLY color scanner in town!)

Sorry for the intrusion, but I wanted to make sure that the person that
asked for the rank patches reaches me before he
thinks that I've forgotten about him!
