To all those who took the time to write to me when I expressed my concern
about whether my 6 y o son had ADHD, several months ago.
I did consult a child psychiatrist, the first visit gave a positive
diagnosis, he was bouncing all over the room, and that night I started him on
Ritalin. He had a baseball practice to go to, I knew he was having trouble
paying attention there, so I thought it would be a good test. It was a
miracle! Mothers commented to me that night that they really noticed him
paying attention at the practice. I didn't tell any one.
And now that we have his dosage regulated, I am here to say when needed,
Ritalin is trully a miracle drug. I would never have believed it if I had
not seen it for my own eyes.
His handwriting is now ledgible, is behavior is delightful, is school work
has tremendously improved, and is ability to play sports now, is amazing! He
has made 2 double plays at 2nd base this year, and this a kid who could not
even look in the right direction at the beginning of the season. He's only
6.
Thank you all for your advice. I appreciate it.
