Usually not, unless there are extenuating circumstances, the child here is
likely to see his adoption as a source of stigma, and possibly pain. In my
experience as a foster care social worker, I find that kids entering a new
family, or in this case, having his "real" family being finally recognized,
he's likely interested in "normalizing" his life.
But talk to the kid and his parent(s) anyway and see what they say... Good
