Aside from the obvious fact that without leadership experience, there can b
e no
advancement passed 1st Class, you might want to emphasise that being in leadersh
ip means
that they get to make out the duty roster. Since they are in a leadership posit
ion, it
is common practice not to put onself on the duty roster so that they can be avai
lable to
pitch in when needed. Also, they are the ones who decide (with adult guideance)
where
they will be camping. Always a great benefit.
