A CALL TO SERVICE AND A SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY FOR JEWISH SCOUTS.

Through the generosity of the now closed Glenwood Jewish Center, we have
obtained funds
to do substantial work on the chapel and the Chaplains' cabins at Camp
Kunatah. To get
the most from this contribution, we need some help:

1. The torah ark from Glenwood's Bais Medrash (study hall) is to be
refinished and
installed at the chapel. It is now at Camp Pouch, Staten Island. We need
some people
to help with the refinishing. The basic work will be done at Pouch and the
ark will
be shipped up to Kunatah.

Please contact Mike Poretsky at (718) 376-2585 if you will be available on
any Sundays
during late April or early May to work on this part of the project.

2. On May 26 and 27 (Memorial Day weekend), we will have a work weekend at
Kunatah
to re-stain the chapel, etc. We will need a lot of hands for this.

SPECIAL NOTE: IF WE HAVE ENOUGH INTEREST, SHU-SHU-GAH LODGE WILL HOLD A
BROTHERHOOD CEREMONY. THIS MAY BE THE ONLY OPPORTUNITY ORTHODOX BROTHERS MAY
HAVE TO SEAL THEIR MEMBERSHIP IN THE ORDER OF THE ARROW.

3. The chapel will be rededicated on Monday, July 15. More details will be
forthcoming.

4. Shu Shu Gah Lodge will conduct an Ordeal at Kunatah during the first
week of camp.

For more information on any of the above items, contact Mike Poretsky at
(718) 376-2585.
