Why are you so surprised? We here at Scouts-L archive each day's postings
and make it available to those that cannot or do not want up to 50 separate
postings each day; other groups
do the same things.
We also archive each month's postings to the listserver site, which by the
way, we are going to have to decide how to
handle our GROWING filelist. I'm sure that Jon has been working on
converting some of our files to webpages for the Scouts-L web site. The
archived monthly postings are available to anyone that want to get them.
I use dejanews to do research on what I've stated and what
others have responded to me, as well as to see what others have stated about
a topic before I enter into a long discussion.
I also read the list traffic on the USENET group every day when I can as well..
Nobody ever has said that your conversations with others on ANY forum is
"private"....just the PERSONAL conversations between you and I or between
you and some other Scouter is.
And, as I've learned in my previous job at CLR, even *that's*
not true, because my boss was intercepting and reading every conversation I
had with my wife while I was there!! *sour face*
As an officemate of our friends in Nicholasville stated once,
"this is a A-B conversation and Cya!" *heheheheee*
