The next issue of The Scouter's Journal can be expected soon. The cover =
story of that issue is Philmont Scout Ranch, and will accompany yet =
another beautiful original work by our artist Tom Cochran. Tom's =
painting of Philmont's Tooth of Time will, I hope, please our readership =
as much or more than our previous covers.

We continue to grow the editorial content of The Scouter's Journal (this =
next issue will be about twice as big as previous issues). You will =
begin to see much more practical advice in the magazine, and with each =
issue you will read of successful programs implemented in various =
councils and troops across the country.

I want to encourage the members of Scouts-L to feel welcome to =
contribute to the editorial content of The Scouter's Journal. While I =
try to monitor the discussion list regularly, I rarely have the time to =
get too involved in the discussions myself. The ideas and topics that =
float around on-line are REAL SCOUTER COMMUNICATION in its purest form.=20

In response to Todd and Kathy's posts about The Scouter's Journal at =
Roundtables......

Beginning with our next issue, it will be possible for anyone to call us =
and request bulk copies of the magazine to share free with Scouter's at =
Roundtables, Camporees or wherever Scouter's meet. It is true that many =
of the Scout Executives have already taken us up on an offer to receive =
magazines, and that is why some of you may have seen them already at =
your Roundtables.

If you ever have any questions about The Scouter's Journal or a =
suggestion for the magazine, please e-mail us directly at =
'JOURNAL@SCOUTER.COM'.

Or, feel free to contact me personally at 'TERRY@SCOUTER.COM'
