It is possible for practical jokes to be enjoyed by EVERYONE. Just
need to select the proper joke. Here's an example from my past
that may get the boys thinking in the right direction.
During basic training in the Army, our Drill Instructor would hang his
wet muddy boots on a nail outside of his second story window. One
day my platoon made a human ladder, fetched the boots, shined
them up, and replaced them. Later we were talking with the DI - he
leaning out his window and us on the ground. Someone made a
comment about "nice boots" and he quickly checked to make sure
they were still there thinking maybe someone had stolen them.
Of course he did a double take and wondered out loud how they
had gotten so clean. Someone from the crowed yelled "It must
have been the Good Boot Fairy, Sergeant." Everyone enjoyed the
joke and the look on the sergeant's face. Nobody was put down,
humiliated, or injured. And yet it was still fun.
