I have my progam notebook for 1995-1996 in front of me, and it says:
"7. Outdoor Activities. The troop will conduct six highlight activities
(such as hikes, campouts, trips, tours, etc.) and attend a Boy Scouts of
America long-term camp."
It looks like the only question is the definition of "Boy Scouts of America
long-term camp". That is does it have to be a council or national camp, a
camp that meets national standards, or just a camp run by members of the BSA?
Our council handles the money problem by providing "camperships" to cut the
cost to boys who cannot afford the full fees. The program problems are
another story.
