At the cadette age level, we are able to present badges at the end of the
year at our court of awards. But when they were junior scouts we had a
presentation mid-year also.

We have one leader who keeps track of badges, they have to tell her the
requirements they have completed, and show any paperwork, or pictures they
have. We take time out of the meeting for a girl to share something she
has worked on, because we have found this encourages the others to look at
those badges more closely.

Couldn't possibly answer this. It varies widely on the troop and the
individual. As Junior scouts they can earn quite a few between what they
earned on their own and the activites they attend through council nearly
always earn them a complete badge. So the numbers can be quite high at
times.
As Cadette scouts, rarely does one event earn an IPP (Interest Project
Patch). And meeting time is seldom used to earn patches as we are busy with
service and planning for younger scouts. They are much more difficult so
the scouts don't earn as many on their own either. Again, this highly
depends on the scout. We encourage them to use projects and activities
they do in school to count toward IPP's.

I think alot of things can be shared in a less formal setting, rather than
in front of the whole troop they can casually share many things such as
displays or pictures to girls before the meeting while girls are arriving.
