Sharon,

Our troop generally has one court of awards at the end of the year. We have
talked about how nice it would be to split the ceremonies up.....but you
know how it goes. We did, however, put together a rather spectacular
ceremony on March 24th of this year. We held a 'Celebrate Scouting' event at
the city hall. Three young women received their Girl Scout Gold Award and
one young man received his Boy Scout Eagle Award. It was a joint effort of
both organizations and plaques, listing all those who have earned each
award, were presented to the city and will be displayed in a specially built
glass cabinet. It was exciting stuff. We also had two other girls who
earned their Gold Award, however, their ceremonies were held separatly last
spring and fall. Hope this is of interest to you.

Yis,
Sherri Kaufmann
