I know that this thread has been oing for a while and is no doubt going to
die out in a few days, but it ittitates me.

The reason is, if the GSUSA are happy having males leaders, they should be
happy they have people willing to volunteer.

Here in Australia, at least in the state I live, the males are not even made
to feel welcome at all. This is probably one of the biggest reasons that I
left guidung and joined scouting....

They sit there and go on and on about how everyone is equal and able to work
togeather and equally etc, but by excluding males and not letting them any
where nere the girls, it looks so hyprocitical....especailly to some of us.

I think this council should be told to take a hike and realize how lucky
they are that they have adults period (male and female) willing to actullly
take a interest in what kids are doing and being prepard to help out....

Just for the record, I am a female, in charge of a Cub Pack and have a
assistant male leader....I also have mixed membership and am proud to say
that all my cubs know/realize that while one person in their six is good at
one thing, they might be good at something else that will help them to work
as a team. It's called team work.
