I would say that all Scout leaders need to go back and renew training
periodically. There is always changes and new things coming out that we all
need to keep up on. One way to refresh your training is to volunteer to help
on staff. You get the benefit of sharing your experience with others, and
also hearing the other presentations. This was a discussion that came up in
our Council Boy Scout Training Committee recently, and the decision was to
recommend that leaders refresh their training every five years.
